Lori and I returned from Las Vegas on Saturday. We had a GREAT time- except I got sick at 10:02pm on Wednesday. Had my first migraine- not something that I EVER want to have again. We really saw a lot when we were there- I have not been for a couple of years- and WOW have things changed in that time! We used the bus and it was so easy- $20 for a three day unlimited pass- and they ran 24 hours- definitely what I would suggest if you want to get around- because seriously- there is WAY too much walking to do otherwise. We stayed at the Golden Nugget downtown- I would highly recommend it- a beautiful property and they usually run great deals. The newest thing I noticed? LOTS of people dressed as characters on Fremont Street- we saw numerous Elvises (Elvi???)- we even saw a BLACK one- cracked me up!! There were super heroes and show girls. I guess if you are homeless it is a great way to try to make some money. Had a chocolate covered banana at Mermaids (brought back childhood memories)- however the place is FILTHY!!! I think that is why I got sick- it was probably crawling with typhoid- at least that is what I blamed it on.
Flew back on a flight that had a yipping, yapping ankle-biting dog on it- which I found EXTREMELY irritating. Reminder- if you take a dog on a flight with you- keep it in the kennel UNDER the seat- not everybody thinks your flippin' dog in a sweater is as cute as you think it is. (Sorry- just me venting)
Came back to a cold spell- yowza! Every year I wonder why I live in Wisconsin (well, really only every winter- I find the summers very pleasant!)
Being able to work in my jammies is a huge plus- my resolution this year was to NOT do this- but when it is freezing and I am sick- the resolution goes out the window. Hence, I write this in my jammies!!
Travel should be fun, an adventure! My purpose in this blog is to discuss the varied tours I am working on, the travel industry and many of my random thoughts!

I am off to "LOST WAGES"!
I am off to "Lost Wages" on Monday- otherwise known as Las Vegas- but about 10 people have told me that it is Lost Wages- cracks me up! I am trying to get everything done before I go so that I don't have a LOT to do when I am there. My best friend Lori and I are going there for a Girls getaway- should be fun!
It has been a couple of years since I have been there- so I really want to check out all the new stuff. Because- if you haven't been there for a month or two- there will be TONS of new stuff. We are staying at Golden Nugget- which is downtown- and I LOVE it! I will keep everyone apprised of all that we are doing- (Well, maybe not ALL that we are doing- but MOST of it!!) After all- what happens in Vegas STAYS in Vegas----right???

Our Lady of Good Help!
Well today was a very busy one for me- but WOW did I ever get a LOT accomplished! I have set up quite a few new tours. These tours are all faith based and I think are going to be really fun! I am just waiting for date confirmation on a few of them- but I can share the content of them with all my faithful blog followers- the total of which I think right now is in the single digits!! Anyway- I am doing a number of tours to the newly decreed shrine of Our Lady of Good Help in New Franken- one of them includes a stop to see the nuns at St. Norbert. There is also a tour called a "Wright" kind of tour- it visits the Unitarian Meeting Hall, Unity Chapel, lunch at Taliesin, and a tour of Monona Terrace- all buildings and areas heavily influenced by Frank Lloyd Wright! Or- perhaps you want to learn how the Monks live? Then tag along when we go to the St. Anthony Spirituality Center and learn about the Capuchin Franciscan Friars. Remember- if you have ideas for tours- let me know- perhaps I will build one around your ideas! Now it is off to bed- it is after 2am and I have already broken a few of my resolutions! I really wanted to work only until midnight and try and have a decent life- but the last two days have washed that one down the drain. Hmmmm.....maybe that is why I am doing all these faith based tours? I guess I need all the help I can get! My dear friend Lori and I went to lunch today and my fortune cookie had the following fortune. "Now is the time to expand your business" Yoo-Hoo! Bring the expansion on!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
The first of January- a fresh start, a new beginning, so many hopes, so many dreams! I of course always make resolutions (although most of them are broken by tomorrow!!) However- since the Badgers play this afternoon I will NOT be starting any of my resolutions until January 2nd (maybe that will help them last more then one day!) Also- I get to treat myself to blueberry and cream cheese stuffed french toast for breakfast!!
My travel resolutions this year will be---
1) take at least one trip a month with Outta Here! Travel. I so much enjoy escorting my tours and really look forward to them
2) Develop and organize at least 6 unique and exciting tours for this year with different destinations then we have gone to before
3) Contact schools and not-for-profit organizations so they can become aware of the great fund raising program that Outta Here! Travel offers
Well....these should keep me busy for quite some time
On a personal level...my resolutions include all the usual ones- lose weight, have a healthier lifestyle, obtain world peace, be a kinder gentler person....yadda, yadda, yadda!
However- I think I am going to add- giving up Wrangler jeans (it has been a while since I have done that one!) and this year I resolve to win the lottery!!!!
Seriously- I hope that everyone has a safe, happy and healthy New Year! I hope to see you on some Outta Here! Travel tours.
GO BADGERS!!!
